More Than Great Barbecue — It’s About Community

The DuPont BBQ Cookoff is proudly hosted by American Legion Pat Tillman Memorial Post 53, a nonprofit veterans service organization serving DuPont, Washington, and our surrounding communities.

But our mission goes far beyond a weekend of championship barbecue.

Throughout the year, Post 53 works to make a difference through:

• Veterans and Their Families: Helping veterans connect with benefits and resources, recognizing their service, and supporting those who have served our country.

• Youth and Education: Supporting Scouting, youth baseball, scholarship opportunities, Boys State and Girls State, and programs that encourage citizenship and leadership.

• Community Recognition: Honoring outstanding students, first responders, and neighbors who make our communities stronger.

• Service and Fellowship: Bringing people together through volunteer activities, community events, and programs that support veterans and their families.

The DuPont BBQ Cookoff is one of our largest community celebrations. It brings championship pitmasters, local businesses, volunteers, and families together while helping raise funds for these important programs.

Great barbecue brings people together. Giving back to our community is what makes it worthwhile.
